Growing up with the classic Black American Dad story, I spent most of my childhood dazed & confused.

Happy but misguided. Or, unguided, really. Looking back, it makes sense that I played ball and then coached ball and tried it as high school teacher and then worked in group homes and mentored youth and then delivered food and told people’s stories. All I ever wanted was for someone to show up for me. To help me. To show me the way.

So, I showed up for my players, my students, my youth & my clients.

I’ve made a life out of helping people & serving others and oftentimes, to my own detriment. But, don’t worry, I speak to my therapist lots about it. The fear of repeating the cycle turned me into the person I always was, I just hadn’t quite found the proper medium to channel what was in the depths of my soul. My art. My learning. My observations. My wisdom.

What was I to do with this?

And so after a few eye opening & traumatic situations, fumbled relationships, money made, money wasted and time misspent, I decided to be more efficient, more productive, to work smarter instead of harder, to figure out a way via my artistry, to live a dope ass, fly ass life. The one where I’m a father, an actively healing man, a creative, an adventurer, a storyteller and a law abiding, tax paying citizen. And so now I’m here, with neatly configured packages of my life and its lessons for you to consume in the comforts of your everyday life.

Thanks for tagging along. Please, enjoy the show and pay attention.

There is much to learn.
